The primary role of this position is to conduct Applied Behavior Analysis, developing behavioral intervention plans, carrying out competency based caregiver training, data analysis, integrity monitoring and implementation of intervention plans, training and supervising direct service providers, and conducting workshops and seminars. This position requires travel.

Essential Duties

  • Follow behavior consulting procedures and OMI policies and procedures.
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA), Functional Analysis (FA), and other specialized assessments.
  • Implement Standardized Interview and Assessment tools, including scoring and concise narrative summaries within written reports and verbal presentations.
  • Develop, review, and modify behavior modification plans using evidence-based principles, including knowledge of recent and relevant research in ABA and ethical problem-solving skills.
  • Develop, implement, train, modify and track results using methods that adhere to Applied Behavior Analysis principles, techniques, and ethical guidelines.
  • Structure plans for implementing an FBA, including the timeline. Implement the FBA and use the information to develop behavior intervention recommendations.
  • Train staff, family, and caregivers on recommended interventions and monitor implementation to determine the need for on-going training.
  • Assist in the development of community/seminar/workshop trainings in the areas of behavior management strategies and related topics.
  • Openly and frequently communicate to individuals we serve with empathic verbal communication and listening skills.
  • When requested, assist with OMI client behavior plans.
  • Participate in Organization events and activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Required Qualifications and Education (must-haves)

Education/Experience

Education as required to obtain licensure in the State of MN.

Certificates and Licenses

  • Licensed as a Behavior Analyst by the MN Board of Psychology
  • A valid Class D Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record acceptable to Organizational insurance guidelines.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Office environment when not at appointments. Driving environment to and from appointments. The work environment may be slow or fast paced, depending on what is happening at the individual’s home or other setting where observations are taking place. This is an environment of constantly working with others. The noise level is generally moderate but can be loud.

  • Regularly lift up to 20 lbs, and sometimes lift and move up to 50 lbs to waist height unaccompanied. Occasionally lift and move up to 100 lbs to waist height with team assistance.
  • Alternate sitting and standing and walking for duration of shift.
  • Frequently required to walk, stand, bend, twist, or stoop.
  • Frequently apply coordinated use of hands and fingers to grasp, feel objects, transfer small items from one hand to another, fine manipulation, and bilateral reach with arms.
  • Use of close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay and Benefits

Starting pay range for this hourly non-exempt position is $30/hr to $35/hr.
