This role combines hands-on sales execution with team leadership in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. You will oversee and coach a team of Outside Sales Representatives while also actively managing key accounts and driving new business development. The position blends strategic account growth, prospecting, and consultative selling of packaging and shipping solutions across diverse industries. You will play a key role in shaping sales performance by developing talent, improving processes, and ensuring consistent customer satisfaction. Working remotely with company-provided tools, you will also maintain close collaboration with distribution centers and internal teams to support training, customer engagement, and operational alignment. This is a high-impact leadership role where sales expertise and people development go hand in hand.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading sales execution while developing a high-performing outside sales team and strengthening customer relationships:
- Coach, mentor, and support Outside Sales Representatives to improve performance, product knowledge, and sales effectiveness
- Manage and grow key customer accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Conduct quoting, pricing negotiations, and support custom and special-order sales solutions
- Provide technical product expertise, sales tools, and ongoing training to support team success and independence
- Monitor sales activity, track performance, and collaborate with leadership on sales strategies and growth initiatives
- Evaluate team performance through one-on-one coaching and group discussions to drive continuous improvement
- Promote and leverage marketing and promotional materials to increase customer awareness of product offerings
This position requires strong sales leadership capability, commercial acumen, and the ability to develop both relationships and talent:
- Post-secondary education preferred or 3–5 years of outside sales experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Proven ability in outside sales, account management, or business development
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or leading sales representatives is highly valued
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and solve day-to-day customer and sales challenges
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided)
