This leadership role is responsible for driving commercial performance and field execution across a defined regional territory within the diabetes care market. You will lead and develop a team of Territory Business Managers, translating national strategy into actionable regional plans that deliver measurable sales outcomes. You will act as a key connector between field teams, market access, and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment across commercial initiatives. - Lead, coach, and develop a regional team of Territory Business Managers, ensuring strong performance, accountability, and achievement of sales objectives across the diabetes portfolio.
- Develop and execute regional business plans aligned with corporate strategy, translating goals into actionable field initiatives and measurable outcomes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including market access, channel, and trade to optimize reimbursement strategies and improve customer access.
- Manage regional budgets and resources to maximize return on investment and drive efficient field execution.
- Identify, recruit, and onboard high-performing talent with strong potential in the diabetes market across multiple healthcare settings.
- Conduct regular field engagement, coaching, and business reviews to support performance improvement and opportunity identification.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, thought leaders, and healthcare stakeholders to support long-term market growth.
- Ensure consistent communication, feedback, and performance management practices that foster a high-performance and accountable team culture.
This role requires strong commercial leadership experience within the life sciences or healthcare industry, combined with a deep understanding of field sales execution and team development. Candidates should bring a proven ability to lead distributed teams, drive performance through metrics, and operate effectively in a complex, customer-facing environment. Strong strategic thinking, communication skills, and the ability to influence across stakeholders are essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Business, Marketing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 8–10 years of experience in bioscience or pharmaceutical commercial roles, including field sales, training, or account management.
- 3–5 years of leadership experience managing field sales teams.
- Strong experience in healthcare sales, ideally within diabetes or related therapeutic areas.
- Proven ability to develop and execute regional strategies that drive measurable business results.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities.
- Ability to analyze performance data and use insights to guide decision-making and improve outcomes.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% domestically, including field visits and business reviews.
- Competitive base salary range: $180,000 – $240,000 annually
