Supply Chain Intern at EMT International – Hobart, Wisconsin

Position Summary

The Supply Chain Intern will support the planning team in creating, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient use of resources, timely order fulfillment, and alignment with customer requirements. This internship provides exposure to manufacturing operations, ERP/MRP systems, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining detailed production schedules.
• Support the coordination of production activities to meet customer delivery dates.
• Analyze material and capacity requirements using ERP/MRP tools.
• Communicate with supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing teams to resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Monitor work orders and production progress to identify delays or bottlenecks.
• Assist with reporting key metrics such as on-time delivery and schedule adherence.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives related to scheduling and production planning.
• Perform data entry, schedule adjustments, and documentation within ERP systems.
• Provide general administrative support to the planning team as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); ERP/MRP system experience a plus.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
