As we continue our rapid growth and expansion, we seek a seasoned Staff Accountant to join our leadership team, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards and ethical compliance across our operations.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with strong General Ledger experience to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant supports the financial operations of the organization by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with month-end and year-end processes. They ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Reconciliation
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of accounts, including bank statements and other financial data.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Process invoices, expense reports, and payments accurately and promptly.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
Month-End and Year-End Close
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Post journal entries and adjust entries as needed.
Compliance and Auditing
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing financial data and analysis.
- Assist in variance analysis and identifying trends.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Hands-on experience using NetSuite ERP
- Strong experience preparing journal entries
- Proven experience performing bank reconciliations
- Experience with balance sheet and account reconciliations
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
