Summary:
At Alabama Goodwill Industries, our Mission is to help change lives through the power of work. We serve our community by providing employment development services and placement assistance for employment. Our programs are supported with profits generated through the sale of donated goods in our Retail Stores.
Under the direct supervision of the Contracts Supervisor, performs a variety of duties associated with maintaining a contract site. This position entails training and supervising the site team members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Contracts Oversight: Manage and supervise the execution of AbilityOne contracts at the site. Ensure that all contract requirements are met, and services or products are delivered as per the contract terms.
- Supervision: Oversee and provide guidance to employees and workers with disabilities or who are blind, ensuring their tasks are performed effectively and they are supported in their roles.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to federal regulations and AbilityOne Program guidelines in all activities and operations. Maintain accurate records for compliance reporting.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that the products or services provided under the contracts meet or exceed the required standards.
- Customer Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and clients. Address their concerns and needs promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs of the workforce, especially employees with disabilities, and provide or coordinate training programs to enhance skills and job performance.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all safety regulations. Promote a culture of safety and assist with providing necessary accommodations for employees with disabilities.
- Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise during contract execution and work collaboratively to find solutions that ensure the program's success.
- Team Building: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, encouraging teamwork and collaboration among all employees, regardless of their abilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to follow rules and regulations as outlined in the Goodwill Personnel Policies manual.
- Ability to perform job duties.
- Ability to maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
- Ability to load and unload supplies and equipment.
- Ability to follow safety measures in order to maintain safe conditions at all times.
- Ability to teach and coach team members.
- Provides accurate and timely reports needed by team members or Leadership for management and planning in areas of responsibility.
- Ability to perform all assignments as requested by the Contracts Supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
