Position: Staff Accountant

Location: Lima

Work Mode: On-site, full-time, with full benefits

Language Requirement: Fluent oral English (100% role conducted in English) / minimum B2+

Role Summary: We are seeking a Staff Accountant to play a key role within the Finance & Accounting team. This position is responsible for managing accounts payable payments, internal fund movements related to loan collections, and ensuring accurate validation of every transaction with proper documentation and efficient processes.

The selected candidate will work closely with suppliers, partners, and other accounting team members, maintaining strong professional relationships and contributing to continuous improvement of financial processes.

This role reports directly to the Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Download daily bank exports and upload them into the reconciliation tool (Townebank).

• Investigate and validate ACH returns and Positive Pay transactions.

• Import Positive Pay files to the bank.

• Initiate daily fund transfers.

• Perform internal fund transfers.

• Initiate payments as needed.

• Record cash receipts.

Academic and Experience Requirements:

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields.

• Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting roles.

Required Skills:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and lookup tables.

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAGE100.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Ability to read and analyze financial documents and reports.

• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively across organizational levels.
