Remote Labor Relations Manager

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Union Labor Relations Manager - REMOTE. In this role, you will be key in coordinating labor relations functions and managing data for labor surveys that are vital for industrial construction projects. Your expertise will enhance communications with local unions and ensure accurate assessment of labor availability risks, directly impacting the success of construction projects. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain a smooth flow of information related to labor agreements and wage rates, which is essential for effective project management.
Accountabilities
  • Manage and execute the union labor survey function to assess labor availability risks.
  • Communicate regularly with Local Union representatives for labor data collection.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to analyze labor demand and produce reports.
  • Manage Labor Relations Information related to surveys and agreements.
  • Advise on labor wage rates and agreements, including contract negotiations.
  • Communicate with Local Union and Trades Council leadership about trends.
  • Coordinate overall Labor Relations program and team efforts.
  • Attend national organization conferences as a representative.
  • Lead project labor management meetings and represent management in labor relations.
  • Investigate and resolve labor complaints and disputes.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in labor relations, preferably in industrial construction.
  • Strong understanding of union contracts and negotiations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to handle interpersonal situations.
  • Experience dealing with multiple personalities and professional levels.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with evolving regulations.
