This role offers the opportunity to shape and strengthen organizational resilience through the design, execution, and evaluation of business continuity and crisis response exercises. You will independently manage the full lifecycle of exercises, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to validate preparedness, identify operational gaps, and drive continuous improvement. Your work will directly support the effectiveness of critical processes, ensuring teams are ready to respond to disruptions and maintain business operations. This position combines strategic thinking, project management, and analytical skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. By capturing lessons learned and implementing corrective actions, you will contribute to building a more resilient organization and enhancing overall operational readiness. The role requires a proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to translate complex scenarios into actionable improvements.
Accountabilities:- Plan, design, and facilitate business continuity and crisis response exercises across multiple teams and scenarios.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned exercises, including planning, execution, evaluation, and corrective action tracking.
- Develop realistic, risk-aligned scenarios that test plans, procedures, decision-making, and escalation protocols.
- Capture observations, lessons learned, and produce after-action reports to guide continuous improvement.
- Support disaster recovery tests and resilience initiatives, ensuring readiness across business functions.
- Partner with risk, security, and compliance teams to strengthen overall organizational resilience.
- Maintain consistency and quality while executing multiple exercises in parallel with minimal oversight.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience independently delivering business continuity, crisis response, or cybersecurity exercises.
- Demonstrated ability to scale exercise programs with repeatable processes, templates, and metrics.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and project management capabilities.
- Proven experience in supporting crisis management events, including on-call responsibilities during incidents.
- Bachelors degree in Risk/Resilience, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degrees may substitute for experience.
- Preferred certifications include ABCP, CBCP, CBCI, MBCI, BCCE, or CISSP.
- Experience with cloud-native technology, data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau), and disaster recovery or chaos engineering testing is a plus.
