This role offers an exciting opportunity to design and automate secure, scalable cloud environments supporting mission-critical SaaS platforms. You will work at the intersection of advanced networking, DevOps automation, and regulatory compliance, helping build and maintain highly resilient Azure-based infrastructures that meet stringent FedRAMP requirements. As a senior technical leader, you will guide infrastructure architecture, implement Infrastructure-as-Code strategies, and collaborate closely with engineering, security, and operations teams. The role requires deep expertise in cloud networking and automation while contributing to continuous improvement across deployment, monitoring, and security practices. Accountabilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable Azure cloud infrastructure aligned with FedRAMP High and IL4 compliance standards.
  • Lead the development of modular Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks using tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, ARM, Bicep, and YAML.
  • Architect and manage advanced Azure networking environments including VNets, vWAN, routing, peering, and secure connectivity.
  • Implement and monitor network security controls including Azure Firewall, NSG/ASG, WAF, Application Gateway, and Private Endpoints.
  • Guide the implementation of connectivity solutions to government networks using technologies such as ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, and secure firewall configurations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design automation workflows and ensure high reliability of cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Maintain technical documentation, perform peer code reviews, and contribute to knowledge-sharing across engineering teams.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshoot production issues to maintain operational stability.
  • Mentor team members and provide technical leadership in cloud architecture, automation, and compliance practices.

Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 8+ years of experience working with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP High, IL4, or NIST SP 800-53 in cloud environments.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Azure networking including VNets, routing, subnets, UDRs, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, and Private Link.
  • Hands-on experience configuring network security solutions such as Azure Firewall, WAF, NSG/ASG, and Application Gateway.
  • Experience implementing network architectures connecting to government networks using Azure Firewall or Palo Alto solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or similar tools across Azure, AWS, or GCP environments.
  • Experience with configuration management and orchestration tools such as Ansible, PowerShell DSC, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes platforms such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or equivalent container orchestration systems.
  • Proficiency with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, REST APIs, or CLI tools.
  • Experience with Git-based source control and Agile development methodologies.
  • Preferred: Azure or security certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, CISSP, CCNP, Security+, or Kubernetes certifications.
