Nurse Assistant at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

Willis Knighton is seeking a compassionate, dependable full-time Nurse Assistant to join our acute care team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, attentive to detail, and able to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment. You will support nursing staff and provide hands-on care to 10–13 patients per shift, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity.

• Provide daily patient hygiene, including baths, oral care, and grooming
• Perform room cleaning and restocking to maintain a safe, organized environment
• Assist with unit cleaning tasks as needed to support overall workflow
• Support patients with feeding, including setting up trays and assisting those who need help eating.
• Take and record vital signs per hospital protocol (if applicable to your facility’s scope)
• Assist with ambulation, repositioning, and transfers using proper safety techniques
• Respond promptly to call lights and patient needs
• Communicate changes in patient condition to supervising nurses
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record
• Uphold infection control, safety, and hospital policy standards
