JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Data Engineerwillencounterthe full Data Engineering stack (from ingestion toreporting) but will focus primarily on Data Modeling (the ‘Silver’and ‘Gold’layersin the medallion concept).This role works closely with other engineering teams as well as the customers and end-usersto create and deliver efficient and useful data models.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Utilize SQLanddata transformation tools (like DBT andCoalesce)to develop and deploy abstracted data models following the “Medallion” concept (Bronze, Silver, Gold)

    Leverage Snowflake features (data sharing, dynamic tables, RBAC, Notebooks,Streamlitapps, Workspaces,Cortex, etc.) to provide reliable and efficient access to models

    Collaborate with other engineering teams as well as business analysts and end-users to develop requirements and design useful data models

    Clean up and translate legacy SQL logic and data models for anewunifiedrepresentation system

    Develop DAGs in Apache Airflow for delivering data products to internal and external partners

    Manage Snowflake and Airflow related infrastructure with Terraform

    Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Software Development, Computer Engineering, or equivalent required;Master’s Degreepreferred

    Minimum 6 years of experience in data engineering or software developmentrequired

    Experience in banking/ financial datapreferred

    Strong SQL skills for data extraction and transformation

    Experience in DataModeling andfamiliarity with ‘Medallion’ concepts

    Familiarity with Data vault architectureconceptspreferred

    Familiarity with data transformation tools (Coalesce, DBT, etc.)required

    Familiarity with data governance and metadata management

    Familiarity with cloud-based data environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP)

    Proficiencywith Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

    Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    Outstanding problem-solving and time management skills

    Self-motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented

    Adaptable and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

    Can work independently and within a team; solution-oriented with a collaborative approach

The pay range for this position is above. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience $140,000 (entry level qualifications) to $156,000 (highly experienced).
