Structural Engineer - Renewable Energy at McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. – Phoenix, Arizona

POSITION SUMMARY

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in performing pile foundation design calculations
• Assist in creation of pile plans using AutoCAD or QGIS
• Coordinate/participate with the design coordination process to ensure design feasibility
• Participate in design review process and continuously monitor design changes to ensure code compliance
• Ensure collaboration between different departments like civil, electrical and operations for successful project
• Review and implement quality control plan for approved material orders and installation
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, subcontractors and owners to represent McCarthys core values
• Ensure project quality and effective implementation of safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering required
• Previous internship or full time position experience with construction or engineering is a plus
• General knowledge of construction principles/practices required
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD is required
• Working knowledge of RISA, ETAB, Enercalc, LPile is plus
• Ability to travel 100% nationwide
