Description: HTI is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer for a client in the textile/nonwoven industry. This role will focus on the design, development, and testing of new technical nonwoven products while supporting cross-functional teams in bringing new materials and applications to market. This position is Direct Hire with a salary range of $95,000 – $100,000 depending on experience.

What You Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Polymer, Textile, Materials Science, or related engineering field
• 3–5+ years of R&D or product development experience
• Textile or nonwoven industry experience preferred
• Experience with coating and finishing of textiles/nonwovens preferred
• Experience with laboratory analytical instrumentation is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Willingness to travel as needed

What Your Role Will Look Like:
The Senior R&D Engineer will support the research and development of new technical nonwoven products while coordinating closely with production, operations, and commercial teams.

• Design and develop new technical nonwoven products to support company growth
• Plan, coordinate, and document product development projects across departments
• Conduct and document laboratory experiments and testing
• Assist with intellectual property documentation and patent support
• Monitor and track project milestones and development timelines
• Evaluate new materials and applications for potential product use
• Support raw material qualification and continuous improvement initiatives
• Serve as a technical resource for production and operations teams requiring chemical or technical expertise
• Assist sales and procurement teams with technical guidance as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned
