About This Position

Xpedient is a full-service 3rd party logistics provider. We have experience helping a diverse client base in warehousing services, transportation management, supply chain management, order fulfillment and labor needs.

Summary

The Senior Director plays a crucial role in the success of the company by ensuring that client requirements are met efficiently and that warehouse operations are streamlined and cost-effective. They need to have strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain management. The primary objective is to meet and exceed targets they assist in developing through managing their customers, driving operational performance, developing a world class team with world class quality.

Reporting directly to the Vice-President Operations, this position is a premier role within the organization, as the Senior Director is responsible for the daily operations and business of multiple warehouse and transportation operations across multiple customers.

Responsibilities:

The Director Operations is responsible for:

• Enhancing the culture for our Team Members

• Steering safety programs and generating results

• Building strategic relationships with customers

• Assist in creation of budgets

• Managing P&L performance on a daily basis

• Driving the organizational vision, while creating their own for their book of business

• Support Business Develop on new business pursuits

• Project Manage new operation start-ups

• Recruit and Develop Managers to grow with organization

• Review and evaluate performance reports

• Meet production targets for the team

• Follow up on production targets for the team

• Take full responsibility for team results

• Set priorities

• Take charge of scheduling work and tasks

• Set up quality goals for the team

• Drive quality in everything we do

• Be actively involved in problem solving and propose improvements

• Responsible for ensuring that both internal and external KPIs are achieved daily

Minimum Requirements

• Have worked in a warehouse environment at a General Manager level or above

• Worked in Third Party Logistics industry

• Utilized a WMS extensively

• P&L Management/Budget Creation Experience

• Have worked with figures and understand basic mathematics needed for reporting, analysis, and differentiation purposes.

• Manage your time effectively and be focused on setting clear objectives and priorities

• Have managed a large team of people across multiple shifts

• Have knowledge of workforce management and industry best practices

• This is a remote position with travel within the US
