About This Position
About the Role:
The F&B Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of food and beverage services within the establishment. This position is responsible for overseeing daily activities, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of customer service and product quality. The supervisor will coordinate between kitchen and service teams to optimize workflow and guest satisfaction. They will also handle inventory management, staff training, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Ultimately, the F&B Supervisor ensures that all guests receive an exceptional dining experience while supporting the business’s operational and financial goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in hospitality management is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in food and beverage service, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in food safety or hospitality management (e.g., ServSafe, Certified Food and Beverage Executive).
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
- Previous experience in a high-volume or upscale dining environment.
- Leadership training or courses related to team management and customer service.
- Bilingual abilities to effectively communicate with diverse staff and clientele.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily food and beverage service operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Manage, train, and motivate service staff to deliver excellent customer service and maintain professional standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and control costs to maximize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations across all F&B areas.
- Handle guest inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and maintain positive customer relations.
- Collaborate with kitchen and management teams to plan menus, special events, and promotions.
- Prepare reports on sales, staff performance, and operational issues for senior management.
Skills:
The F&B Supervisor utilizes strong leadership and organizational skills daily to manage and motivate the team, ensuring smooth service delivery. Communication skills are essential for coordinating between kitchen staff, servers, and management, as well as for addressing guest concerns effectively.
