Due to continual growth, we are looking to expand our amazing team and have the opportunity for experienced, compassionate and engaging Disability Support Workers to join us
We currently have part-time and casual positions available supporting clients within our new Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation home, as well as within the community.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting and supporting in group activities and outings
- Providing in-home and community-based respite
- Supporting participants within our respite house facility and SIL accommodation
- Assisting with personal care, including hygiene and daily living supports
- Medication administration and management
- Mealtime preparation and mealtime management (including dietary requirements)
- Supporting participants with behaviours of unmet needs using a person-centred approach
- Assisting with light domestic duties and maintaining a safe, clean environment
- Supporting clients to build independence and develop life skills

About you:
- Experience working in a SIL home or similar supported accommodation setting (highly desirable)
- Demonstrated experience with personal care, medication management and mealtime support
- Experience supporting individuals with behaviours of unmet needs.
- A strong understanding of person-centred practice and promoting independence
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Current and clear Working with Children Check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate, patient and reliable
Qualifications and/or relevant experience in Disability Support or a related field are highly desirable.
