Overview

We are seeking a Systems Application Engineer Specialist – Shades, based in Mumbai, to serve as a handson expert in shading solutions and window treatments. In this role, you will combine deep technical expertise with sales support, onsite project execution, fabrication oversight, and rigorous quality audits. You will play a critical role in connecting product knowledge with realworld project requirements—ensuring seamless delivery, exceptional quality, and outstanding customer satisfaction across all stages of engagement within the Mumbai area.


Responsibilities

  • Technical Consultation: Address technical queries from customers, architects, contractors, and the sales team regarding shading solutions and window treatments. Guide product selection and application for the best fit to project requirements.
  • On-Site Support: Visit project and construction sites to take precise measurements, assess installation conditions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure all technical requirements are met.
  • Installation Assistance: Work directly with installation teams—assist with product setup, operate hand tools or equipment, and handle on-site technical or practical challenges.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, installers, architects, and customers to align specifications, timelines, and resources for seamless project delivery.
  • Fabricator Management: Oversee and coordinate with fabricators assembling shading systems using company-supplied components. Monitor fabrication quality, resolve technical queries, and verify that finished products meet company standards before or on site delivery.
  • Project Audits & Quality Checks:
    • Conduct scheduled audits at both the fabricator facility and on delivered projects. Review material quality, assembly accuracy, and installation standards.
    • Ensure that all products and completed projects consistently meet or exceed company quality benchmarks and compliance standards.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of site visits, fabrication outputs, audit findings, encountered issues, and any corrective actions taken.
  • Sales Support: Participate in sales meetings or calls to answer technical questions, demonstrate products, and assist the sales team with technical presentations and application support.
  • Customer Service: Provide after-sales technical support, resolve operational issues, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on new products, installation techniques, safety protocols, and technology advancements in shading systems.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or similar field with a minimum, aggregate of 60% marks or a CGPA equivalent or higher.
  • 5+ years of direct experience in shading solutions, blinds, curtains, or window treatment systems.
  • Deep technical understanding of shading products (manual/motorized blinds, automation, fabrics, installation techniques).
  • Hands-on, practical approach; comfortable working on construction sites and directly supporting installation teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and technical specifications is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Energetic self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to project locations and provide on-site support as required.
