Job Description

Treasury Manager

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Treasury Manager in Canada.

This role sits at the heart of a rapidly scaling fintech environment, where treasury operations are evolving alongside the launch of regulated banking capabilities. You will play a key role in designing and running end-to-end treasury processes that ensure liquidity, funding, and cash management are robust, compliant, and future-ready. Acting as both a strategic partner and hands-on operator, you will help shape balance sheet strategy while also ensuring daily money movement runs smoothly across multiple entities and banking partners. You will contribute to building and implementing a modern Treasury Management System to centralize operations and improve efficiency. Working cross-functionally with Risk, Finance, Product, and Data teams, you will ensure new products are treasury-ready from day one. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and enjoys building systems from the ground up.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will own and evolve treasury operations across a multi-entity, regulated environment, ensuring both strategic oversight and operational excellence:

  • Design and implement end-to-end treasury processes, including liquidity management, funding strategy, asset-liability management, and regulatory reporting
  • Develop and enhance financial models supporting liquidity stress testing, IRRBB, behavioural modelling, and capital planning
  • Oversee daily cash management operations to ensure settlement obligations are met and customer funds are safeguarded
  • Lead the implementation of a Treasury Management System, including requirements gathering, testing, and rollout across functions
  • Partner with Risk, Finance, Product, and Data teams to ensure new products are treasury-ready and properly integrated into financial systems
  • Improve forecasting, reporting, and cash visibility across the organization through strong data-driven insights
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements while supporting audit and reporting needs
Requirements

You bring strong treasury expertise and thrive in environments where you can build, optimize, and influence across multiple teams:

  • 5+ years of experience in Treasury, ALM, or Liquidity Management within banking, fintech, or regulated financial services
  • Strong understanding of banking and treasury concepts such as IRRBB, LCR, regulatory capital, and liquidity frameworks
  • Hands-on experience building financial models, forecasts, and liquidity reports using Excel or similar tools
  • Exposure to Treasury Management Systems, including implementation or optimization experience (strong asset)
  • Familiarity with regulatory environments and reporting requirements (e.g., OSFI, central bank frameworks) is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical and data skills with the ability to work independently on complex financial analysis
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate treasury concepts for non-financial stakeholders
  • A proactive, builder mindset with comfort operating in ambiguous and fast-changing environments
Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary range of CAD $115,000 – $135,000
  • Competitive equity participation in addition to base compensation
  • Fully remote-first work environment across Canada with flexible work arrangements
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and wellness benefits
  • Generous vacation, wellness days, and flexible time-off policies
  • Parental leave support and top-up programs
  • Learning and development budget for professional growth, tools, and training
  • Home office, technology, and connectivity allowances
  • Strong culture of autonomy, trust, and impact-driven work
