Director of Community Living
Pay: $28.50
Are you a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment? At Goldie Floberg Center, our Directors of Community Living play a critical role in leading teams, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, and ensuring high-quality care across our residential programs.
What You’ll Do:
You’ll oversee the daily operations of CILA and Children’s Group Homes, ensuring safe, structured, and person-centered environments. This role combines leadership, direct support, and program oversight—you won’t just manage from a desk, you’ll be actively involved in the homes and in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support Direct Support Professionals and Program Schedulers.
- Ensure proper staffing, scheduling, and daily operations across assigned homes
- Train, coach, and hold staff accountable to performance standards
- Monitor site conditions and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Participate in CST meetings, incident reviews, and admissions/discharges
- Oversee community outings, dietary programming, and individual supports
- Step in to support shifts (including DSP duties) when needed
Schedule & Expectations:
- Full-time position (minimum40 hours/week)
- Flexible scheduling
- Shared after hours on-call rotation.
- Frequent travel between homesrequired
What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Ability to support individuals with behavioral and personal care needs
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a physically active role (lifting, standing, supporting individuals)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
