| Job Summary | The Kentucky Regional Extension Center (Kentucky REC) is currently seeking a Technical Project Specialist I (Quality Improvement Advisor) to assist healthcare organizations with quality improvement; project planning and implementation; customer service; professional and staff development; and progress reporting. This position will support Kentucky REC’s work on the CDC’s Innovative Cardiovascular Health Program Grant, a multi-year cooperative agreement focused on reducing cardiovascular disease disparities—particularly hypertension and high cholesterol—among high-risk and underserved populations. The Technical Project Specialist will work with multiple stakeholders across the state on quality improvement initiatives; gather and analyze provider and EHR data; support tracking of clinical quality measures; develop and implement remediation plans; educate and assist providers on federal regulations; and track progress for project and grant reporting purposes, the role will support CDC-aligned strategies including team-based care, linkage to community resources, and addressing social determinants of health to improve cardiovascular outcomes. The Kentucky REC serves as a trusted advisor to healthcare organizations, clinicians, and leaders across the state, helping them navigate the complex and evolving healthcare environment. This is a 2 year grant-funded position. |
