Seasonal Lawn Care at WFR – Waukon, Iowa

This position is responsible for mowing across five WFR managed locations in Northeast Iowa. Each site is equipped with its own lawn mower, and the technician will travel between locations as scheduled via company vehicle. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, can work independently, and maintains a strong sense of responsibility for property appearance and safety.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Perform mowing and trimming at each assigned site
• Operate site-specific mowing equipment
• Report any maintenance needs for equipment to management
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and outdoor areas at each site
• Manage weekly mowing schedule to ensure all five locations are serviced on time
• Follow all company safety protocols and use proper PPE
• Perform seasonal tasks such as weed control, debris removal, and minor landscaping as needed

Education and Experience

• No educational requirements. Background running mowing equipment required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required (travel between sites necessary)
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Previous mowing or groundskeeping experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work outdoors
• Ability to lift up, push, pull up to 25 pounds
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Strong reliability and consistent attendance
• Basic mechanical awareness

Work Environment

• Schedule: Seasonal position will run from late spring through fall. Flexible daytime schedule based on weather and grass growth.
• Environment: Outdoors, high noise environment.
• Travel: Will travel to designated work sites.
