PRODUCTION MANAGER - Chesterfield MI at Riverside Mfg LLC – New Baltimore, Michigan

About this Role:

• Plan, organize, and oversee daily production activities across SMT, through-hole, conformal coating, final assembly, and test areas.
• Ensure production schedules are met to achieve on-time delivery and customer requirements.
• Monitor workflow, staffing, and production priorities to optimize throughput and efficiency.
• Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Materials to ensure smooth production flow.
• Manage production capacity and labor utilization to meet demand while controlling costs.

Team Leadership and Supervision

• Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and production personnel.
• Establish clear expectations and hold staff accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and attendance.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of production staff.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, throughput, scrap, and labor efficiency
• Lead efforts to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance operational performance.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• 4+ years of production leadership experience required
• Experience with SMT, PCB assembly, and electronic manufacturing processes strongly preferred.
• Experience supervising production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of circuit board assembly processes, including SMT, through-hole, and electronic assembly is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Must be US Person
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
