About the position:

As a Respite Staff Coordinator, you will provide day-to-day operational support to ensure respite employees are trained, scheduled, and prepared to deliver high-quality services. This role manages timekeeping, communication, and scheduling logistics while reinforcing program expectations and supporting staff performance. You will play a critical role in operational stability by maintaining clear communication, resolving staffing challenges, and contributing to a consistent, supportive work environment. You will work as part of a collaborative and inclusive team that values shared problem-solving and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do:

Timekeeping and Administrative Tasks

● Ensure timesheets and records are managed accurately and consistently

● Monitor overtime and PTO requests and escalate irregularities as needed

● Maintain organized staffing logs and administrative records

● Provide administrative support to supervisors as needed

Training and Onboarding Support

● Schedule required trainings for new and existing staff

● Track training completion and compliance

● Assist with orientation logistics for new care providers

● Reinforce program expectations and procedural updates

Employee Communication and Support

● Match clients with appropriate respite workers

● Support transition planning when a worker leaves

● Follow up to ensure successful worker placement

Quality and Issue Resolution

● Serve as a primary contact for staff questions

● Relay updates from leadership to the workforce

● Support workers with policy clarification or minor issues

● Promote a positive, connected, and informed team culture

What You'll Bring:

● B.A. in a related field or 2–3 years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities (equivalent experience considered)

● Bilingual skills preferred

● Strong organizational and administrative skills

● Effective communication and collaboration abilities

● Ability to manage scheduling, timekeeping, and training logistics accurately

● Commitment to The Arc of Butte County’s mission and values

Physical Requirements:

● Must pass a post offer pre-employment background check, non- arduous physical, drug/TB screen

● Ability to travel locally to meet with clients, partners, or attend events, if applicable.

● Ability to work in various environments, including office and community settings.

● Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

● May require occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs), standing, walking, or assisting individuals with mobility needs, if applicable.

● Work environment may include exposure to pet allergens. The Arc maintains a pet-friendly culture, and animals (such as the office cat) may occasionally be present in the workplace. Employees may also encounter pet allergens through donated items or community environments.
