Pay Range: $18

Part-time. Weekly hours: 25 hrs.

Shifts Available:

• Monday to Friday, holidays, and some weekends.
• Shifts: 10 am - 3 pm

Requirements: People person with a sociable, caring, outgoing, spirited and enthusiastic personality, to get elderly residents involved in daily activities.

Description of Position:

Responsible for creating, planning and implementing life enrichment programs that encourage and stimulate

residents' physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs.

Responsibilities of the Activities Coordinator:

1. Develop cognitive, physical, social, and spiritual programs that promote each resident's quality of life.
2. Develops, leads, and facilitates recreational programs appropriate for one-on-one, as well as small and large groups, that result in residents' satisfaction.
3. Plans, organizes, and implements residents' outings and special events.
4. Develops, leads, and facilitates intergenerational programs.
5. Creates and distributes a monthly Life Enrichment Calendar.
6. Facilitates monthly Resident Council Meetings.
7. Tastefully decorates the community for holidays and events.
8. Plans and hosts community events for residents and families, in coordination with other departments.
9. Orders life enrichment supplies within the department budget.
10. Inspires and motivates staff through consistent leadership, supervision, and coaching.
11. Promotes positive relationships with residents, staff, and visitors.
12. Performs any other duties as requested, within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.
