This executive leadership role is responsible for driving scalable, efficient, and predictable commercial performance across the customer lifecycle. The VP of Commercial Operations will lead revenue, growth, and customer operations, ensuring alignment across systems, processes, and teams to optimize adoption, retention, and expansion. This position is highly collaborative, partnering with cross-functional leaders to implement data-driven strategies, improve operational efficiency, and provide executive-level insights. The role offers the opportunity to shape and execute strategic initiatives that directly impact revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and organizational scalability in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. This position can be remote and reports directly to the EVP of Commercial Operations, offering both strategic influence and hands-on operational leadership.
Accountabilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing revenue, growth, and customer operations teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Align commercial operations processes, systems, and reporting to reduce friction, drive efficiency, and enable scalability across the organization.
  • Oversee operational functions supporting onboarding, adoption, retention, and expansion to ensure consistent, high-quality customer experiences.
  • Implement commercial operations initiatives through training, communication, tracking, and reinforcement across Commercial and cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and optimize dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights on pipeline health, revenue performance, customer outcomes, and operational efficiency.
  • Build collaborative relationships across matrixed teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of initiatives.
  • Apply financial acumen, stakeholder insights, and data analysis to continuously enhance commercial operations effectiveness.
  • Support strategic planning and execution of commercial initiatives in line with organizational objectives, delivering executive-ready updates and participating in executive forums.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree required; graduate degree (MBA, MHA) preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive commercial operations or business leadership experience.
  • 5+ years of healthcare industry experience, ideally within health plans or healthcare delivery organizations.
  • Proven success in building and leading multi-functional commercial or business operations teams.
  • Experience overseeing commercial technology systems (e.g., CRM), operational processes, and reporting at scale.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while driving strategic and operational results.
  • Strategic thinker with strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build influential relationships with internal executives and cross-functional leaders.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting Risk Adjustment, Quality, or value-based care business models, and operating in a growth or transformation-focused matrixed organization.
