Implements and maintains QMS, ensures compliance with safety and GMP requirements, troubleshoots quality issues, and drives continuous improvement. Serves as a key liaison with internal departments, suppliers, and customers while training and managing staff to uphold quality standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have 7+ years of recent Quality experience in the manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a Quality Management or Senior Quality Engineer role
- Must have recent experience with a facility that manufactures components or products from metals and/or rubber materials; experience specifically with hoses and electrical cords is a plus
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Industrial Science, or a similar field is strongly preferred
- Must have previous experience conducting internal audits and preparing for/managing the external audit process
- Must have GMP and UL (Underwriters Laboratory) experience
- Experience in implementing and maintaining a robust QMS
- Proven success in conducting root cause analysis, FMEA, CAPA, etc.
- Strong leadership and employee development abilities
- Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma experience; certification and/or training preferred
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing production needs
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, both now and in the future
JOB DUTIES:
- The Quality Manager will lead a team of 10 employees, including the Quality Supervisor and Quality Technicians
- Plan and execute quality testing for all incoming raw materials, in-process, and finished goods
- Ensure quality audits, inspections, and quality procedures are properly executed and documented
- Analyze data, prepare reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Prepare and maintain reports using statistics, graphics, indexes, etc. with respect to quality results and recommended improvements
- Interact/communicate with suppliers and customers
- Track products through manufacturing to ensure compliance at all stages
- Train and manage staff on quality practices and standards
- Maintain measurement equipment and ensure operational accuracy
- Support site-wide quality programs and continuous improvement initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
