Key Responsibilities

TAR Processing & Administrative Support (Primary Function)

• Prepare, submit, and track Treatment Authorization Requests (TARs) according to established workflows.
• Assemble required documents (clinical notes, forms, face sheets, etc.) for TAR packets.
• Track TAR deadlines, follow-ups, and expirations, and notify care coordinators when updates are needed.
• Maintain accurate logs, spreadsheets, and checklists for all TAR activity.
• Upload, scan, and file TAR-related documents in the EMR or shared drives.

Administrative Support

• Assist Care Coordinators with non-clinical tasks such as preparing paperwork for SNF placements, transportation forms, DME requests, and other discharge planning documents.
• Support coordination of patient discharges by ensuring all required administrative paperwork is complete and filed.

Business Office & Document Management

• Scan, fax, email, and route business office documents to Billing Records, Fiscal Services, and other administrative teams.
• Assist with maintaining complete patient files for billing and audit readiness.
• Support billing teams by forwarding required authorization documents, scanned records, and administrative forms.
• Follow-Up: Follow up with Business Office personnel to ensure accounts TARS have been received timely, that the Master files have been updated and that PFS records are being transmitted timely.
  • Follow-up also entails calling on accounts, to ensure claims have reached their destination, to claim check status and payment status on assigned claims.
