SALARY: $85000.00 - $90000.00 Annual
SUMMARY:
The Program Director oversees all operations, services, and staff within a supportive housing program. This role ensures high-quality, person-centered services that promote housing stability, safety, and overall well-being of the residents of the program. The Program Director is responsible for program compliance, staff supervision, budget oversight, community partnerships, and maintaining a supportive and healthy living environment for all residents.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and service delivery standards aligned with agency, funder, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee program budgets, contracts, reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure the program meets performance goals, quality indicators, and audit standards.
- Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate program staff.
- Provide regular supervision, coaching and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure residents receive comprehensive supportive services that promote independence, safety and housing stability.
- Oversee case management, service planning, wellness checks, crisis intervention and referrals to medical, mental health and other community service providers.
- Ensure that services are culturally responsive, person-centered and align with best practices.
- Work closely with property management to resolve safety issues, unit conditions, and tenancy concerns.
- Support housing retention through eviction-prevention strategies, benefits access, and advocacy.
- Monitor building environment, coordinate inspections, and ensure compliance with housing standards.
- Build and maintain partnerships with healthcare providers, senior centers, HRA, APS, DSS, and community-based organizations.
- Represent the program at meetings, community events, and stakeholder convenings.
- Strengthen the program’s visibility and integration within the local aging services network.
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation in accordance with agency and funder guidelines.
- Oversee incident reporting, service plan reviews, assessments, and program records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
- When necessary, carry a caseload and/or provide coverage.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or related field preferred; minimum 3–5 years of experience in supportive housing, working formerly homeless individuals, case management, or related fields, at least 2 years of supervisory or program management experience, strong understanding of public benefits (HRA, Medicaid, SNAP, SSI/SSDI), and community resources. Experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs, cognitive decline, or complex medical conditions. Excellent leadership, communication, crisis management, and organizational skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with property management, government agencies, and community organizations. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy and knowledge of systems. Provide good customer service (both in person and by telephone). Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
