Job Overview

Logic LC is seeking a detail-driven and technically skilled Low Voltage Systems Designer to transform client requirements into secure, scalable, and code-compliant low-voltage system designs. In this role, you will lead discovery conversations, interpret architectural plans and satellite imagery, and produce precise layouts using System Surveyor and related design tools.

Your work will directly support installation teams and safeguard people, property, and operations across corporate, healthcare, education, and industrial environments. This position blends technical design, customer collaboration, and field coordination in a fast-paced, solutions-focused setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Discovery & System Design
    • Lead or participate in discovery calls to confirm technical requirements, budget considerations, and applicable code standards.

    • Obtain and interpret interior floor plans and draft exterior surveys using Google Earth or comparable tools.

    • Design camera, access-control, intercom, and cabling infrastructure layouts in System Surveyor or comparable design platforms.

    • Ensure all designs align with NEC/NFPA 70 and applicable local code requirements.

  • Client Collaboration
    • Present conceptual and detailed system designs to customers.

    • Capture feedback and incorporate revisions into red-lined drawings.

    • Communicate equipment selections, installation approaches, and code considerations in clear, customer-friendly language.

  • Site Surveys & Field Coordination
    • Schedule and conduct on-site or virtual surveys.

    • Record labor estimates, lift requirements, material take-offs, and site constraints.

    • Support installation teams on project kickoff (Day 1) to verify device placement and resolve design-related questions.

  • Documentation & Continuous Improvement
    • Document scope changes and distribute updates to internal and external stakeholders.

    • Maintain organized project documentation and version control.

    • Complete vendor training and maintain relevant manufacturer certifications.

    • Stay informed on emerging security technologies, IoT integrations, and evolving code requirements.

Qualifications
  • Required
    • Foundational knowledge of IT hardware and basic networking principles.

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer-service skills.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

    • Ability to work independently and collaborate within cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

    • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Preferred
    • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related field.

    • Hands-on experience with security camera or access-control system installations.

    • Familiarity with security design tools such as SiteOwl, System Surveyor, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or comparable platforms.

Compensation & Benefits
