The Mission: You are the first line of defense in ensuring our operations are airtight. You’ll dive deep into individual cases to ensure our analysts followed the playbook to the letter.
Key Responsibilities- Perform rigorous quality reviews of credit underwriting decisions across multiple B2B products, which includes corporate spend cards, EOR, COR, payroll, and PEO, ensuring adherence to established credit policies, procedures, and risk frameworks.
- Generate data for analysis on overall health of operations (e.g. pass/fail rate, type of failure, product, etc)
- Identify root causes of inaccuracies (e.g., training gaps, system bugs, or policy ambiguity) and document them clearly.
- Provide constructive, objective feedback to operational analysts to help them improve their accuracy and decision-making.
- Surface trends and recurring failure areas to functional leadership to help drive system improvements
- Support Managers in "deep dive" audits when specific risk trends emerge or to evaluate an existing process for new opportunities
- Ensure all documentation meets the standards required for external audits and regulatory exams.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Credit Underwriting, including exposure-based or cash flow driven risk models.
- Experience conducting quality reviews, audits, or second-level reviews of underwriting decisions.
- An ability to grasp both the letter and the spirit of the policy and suggest improvements to make operations more efficient and effective.
- A detail-oriented and methodical approach that enables you to spot inconsistencies that others might miss.
- Experience partnering with policy or risk teams to refine underwriting guidelines/workflows based on observed gaps or edge cases.
- Outstanding communications skills, particularly in the areas of providing feedback to peers and clearly articulating findings to stakeholders in a way that is professional, clear, and helpful.
- Familiarity and comfort in a high volume operating environment where speed does not sacrifice the quality of your assessment.
