Position: Electrician
Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Duration: Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire
Shifts: 2nd Shift
Pay Rate: Up to $39.00/hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to support installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in a production environment. This role requires adherence to safety standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Work a standard 40-hour week with overtime as needed
• Install new or upgraded electrical systems in compliance with local and national electrical codes
• Plan installations to reduce material waste, ensure accessibility for maintenance, and maintain safe, reliable wiring systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications
• Apply journeyman-level electrical skills in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems
• Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting when needed, including issues related to HVAC, refrigeration, or other equipment
• Complete assigned tasks in accordance with company, city, or departmental policies and schedules
• Carry out additional duties based on project drawings, customer specifications, or job requirements
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the electrical shop and overall facility
• Travel to job sites as required
• Keep all work areas clean and orderly
• Follow safe work practices and properly maintain tools and equipment
• Complete all required documentation accurately
• Work from step ladders, frame ladders, and extension ladders of various sizes
• Comply with all safety procedures, including company policies related to hazard communication, lockout/tagout, and confined space
• Participate in required training sessions and educational programs

• Strong working knowledge of electrical systems and installation practices in accordance with the latest American
• Electricians’ Handbook and applicable local and national codes
• Ability to bend conduit using manual, mechanical, or hydraulic tools
• Proficient in the use of electrical tools such as power saws, threaders, cable pullers, and knockout punches
• Ability to safely operate two-handed tools and equipment, including cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jackhammers

• Progressive experience in electrical maintenance and repair at the Journeyman Electrician level, including some supervisory experience
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems such as air conditioning, refrigeration, or manufacturing equipment is a plus
• At least 4 years of commercial electrical experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to bend conduit

• Completion of safety training programs
• Completion of required process training
