Responsibilities
Job Summary The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality MRI exams in a timely manner while maintaining a strong understanding of MRI safety protocols, including those related to research workflows. They interact positively with multiple patient populations and serve as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team. Flexibility is essential, as the position may require on-call availability and holiday coverage. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Minimum Education• Graduate from ARRT accredited MRI educational program OR Graduate from ARMRIT accredited MRI education program Minimum Work ExperienceOne year of MRI experience preferred. Required LicensesOther
ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT at hire (Preferred)ORARRT in one of these Radiography (R)/Nuclear Medicine (N)/Radiation Therapy (T)/ Sonography (S) required and get ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT within 24 months of hire dateCurrent BLS Required Required Skills• Proficient in operating an MRI scanner and adjusting imaging parameters• Well-versed and compliant in MRI safety and understands research workflow for MRI safety requirements• Patient positioning & comfort while ensuring patient safety• Emergency response• Attention to detail• Critical thinking and problem-solving• Time management• Empathy and patient care• The ability to work independently and work well with team members.• Capable of performing timely, quality MRI exams Essential Functions • Perform MRI Examinations• Ensure Patient Safety and Comfort• Administration of Contrast Media• Maintain MRI Equipment and Safety Standards• Collaboration with multi-disciplinary health care team• Document and Manage Patient Information• Research of Implantable Devices for MRI Compatibility• Adhere to Compliance and Regulatory Standards• Assist with Workflow and Operational Efficiency

Shift schedule:
Monday through Friday working 2nd shift. No weekends!
Qualifications
- ARRT (MR) preferred.
- Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- One year MRI experience preferred.
