RADIATION THERAPIST I in Tampa, Florida at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center

Under the broad direction of the Radiation Oncologists the Radiation Therapist will perform:
Patient treatments, machine warm ups, calculations, simulations, radiation safety and meet all of
the continuing education to maintain Florida licensure.

• Will perform patient treatments, machine warm ups, calculations, simulations and radiation safety.
• Will perform treatments on varying age levels.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Will be Registered in the state of Florida.
• Has previous Radiation Therapy experience.

Responsibilities:

• Uses the information provided by simulation, dosimetry and Radiation Oncologists to consistently and accurately set up patients for daily treatments.
• Be aware of radiation safety policies as they relate to the operation of the equipment and protection of the patient.

Credentials and Qualifications:

• Graduate of an AMA accredited Radiation Therapy Program or equivalent is required.
• Certified or Registered by the state of Florida required.
• 3 years of experience preferred.
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification
• Clear verbal and written communication skills required.
• Seek to improve skills by attending continuing education programs and seminars.
