Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm (may include occasional weekend)
Pay Rate: $15.36/hourly

Job Duties:
• Must be able to lift 50–60-pound boxes which may be daily.
• Pick up and deliver boxes and files to a variety of locations to ensure efficient delivery and receipt of customers’ requests.
• Maintain cleanliness of storage facilities and assist with building maintenance issues as needed.
• Accurately label, retrieve, transfer, and shelve boxes and files in storage facilities as per work orders.
• Assist in the delivery of special items for other city departments as needed.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers.
• Operate and maintain assigned vehicle according to safety standards and preventive maintenance recommendations to reduce repairs and ensure maximum daily usage.
• Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge and physical requirements as demanded by those duties described or less. Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on the current workloads and department needs.

(e.g. City vehicle, heavy equipment, forklift, tools, computer, software, etc., indicating type) City Vehicle

Minimum/Special/Additional Requirements:
• Requires high school or GED plus two (2) years’ experience in fields utilizing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities associated with such positions as distribution clerk, postal employee, or warehouse delivery clerk. Must have or obtain a current and valid driver’s license.
• Physicals refer to the requirement for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement. Requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, climbing stairs, balancing; occasional bending, stooping, kneeling and squatting; constant use of abdominal muscles and frequent repetitive limb movement, dexterity and respective twisting; muscle force lifting/carrying items that weigh up to 60 pounds on a regular and recurring basis; frequent short bursts of muscle force to propel oneself; and routine keyboard operations. Some positions are also required to pack, lift, move, load, and unload boxes/bins weighing up to 85 pounds on a recurring basis. Jobs require operation of various motor vehicles around the city for pick-up and delivery of mail, library books, and/or materials.
