About This Position

With general supervision, responsible for the proper ordering, receiving, storage, inventory, and issuance of the facility parts and supplies. Maintains parts rooms. Coordinates and controls parts inventory program.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory Control

1. Create new Stock Records in Maintenance Program (with info below):

1. Stock #

2. Description

3. Min and Maximum quantities

4. Location(s)

2. Order and maintain safe critical spare parts levels.

3. Perform goods receipts in Maintenance Program

4. Put received parts in proper locations.

5. Perform periodic inventory audits.

Purchasing

6. Purchase non-stock items and receipts requested by Plant Manager, Maintenance Manager, Production, QC

7. Purchase stock items (spares) and receipts based on order point

8. Issue POs and receipts for contractor work at facility and equipment as requested by Plant Manager, Maintenance Manager, Engineering

PM

9. Create new PMs in Maintenance Program – with information from Maintenance Manager including:

1. Equipment

2. Frequency

3. Procedure(s)

10. Edit existing PMs in system as needed.

11. Generate PMs daily at start of each day

12. Assign PMs to mechanics per Maintenance Manager

13. Monitor and report aging PMs to Maintenance Manager and assign accordingly.

Work Orders

14. Oversee WO in Maintenance Program (Mainsaver)

15. Create new WOs in system as requested by:

1. Production

2. Maintenance

3. QA

4. Safety

16. Assign WO to mechanics per Maintenance Manager

17. Monitor and report aging open work orders to Maintenance Manager and assign accordingly.

18. Close WOs in system as needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Principles of Maintenance parts and Management
  • Warehousing/Store keeping methods and procedures
  • Basic computer skills
  • Principles and procedures of inventory management
  • Complies with all regulations regarding the handling of Hazardous Materials.
  • Use basic math skills.
