Sterile Processing Extern- Nurse Education

Qualifications: Enrolled In Central Sterile Supply Technician program

Responsibilities:

- Knowledgeable of instrumentation and its usage. Must be Knowledgeable of
decontamination, processing, and sterilization. knowledgeable of different types of
sterilization methods. Knowledgeable of testing processes and documentation. Must have
basic computer skills.

- Maintain a safe environment for co-workers and self.

- Assist SPD Tech with responsibilities for instrument room activities assuring proper
processing of instrument trays for all types of surgeries to include age related cases and
trays (Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric). Reprocessing Equipment and carts.

- Assumes responsibilities for department and hospital requirements
