About the Position:

Star Sleep & Wellness is growing, and we're seeking a new Sleep Dentist for our team! This individual would specialize in the management and treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders, such as obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) using oral appliance therapy (OAT). They will collaborate closely with our amazing Sleep Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, and other healthcare professionals to achieve dramatically improved sleep quality and overall health for patients. To ensure success in this role and to align with the strategic future growth of our practice, applicants will need to hold active licenses in both Texas and North Carolina.

Note: Experience in Sleep Dentistry is preferred; but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Treatment of sleep-disordered breathing in coordination with sleep physicians.
  • Monitor treatment efficacy and manage side effects or complications of oral appliance therapy.
  • Educate patients on the importance of sleep health, treatment options, and appliance care.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including documentation of diagnosis, treatment plans, and follow-up outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with current guidelines established by the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM) and other relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Participate in continuing education and contribute to staff training and development in the field of dental sleep medicine.
