1099 Contractor: Weldment Quality Representative at Industrial Sorting Services – Berea, Kentucky

Location: Berea, KY

Are you passionate about quality, confident in your welding knowledge, and skilled at building strong working relationships? We're looking for a Welding Quality Representative to serve as a vital link between our Mexico manufacturing facility and our customer's location in Berea, KY.

In this role, you'll represent our International Customer onsite with the local customer, ensuring that all welded components meet rigorous quality standards and contractual requirements. • Serve as the primary liaison for welding quality between our Mexico facility and the customer's Berea location

• Conduct inspections of welded parts using visual methods and basic measurement tools

• Identify and report welding or dimensional defects, and recommend corrective actions

• Collaborate with the customer to resolve quality concerns professionally and effectively

• Communicate quality updates, audits, and compliance issues across teams (Spanish language skills are a plus)

• Maintain accurate records of inspections and quality reports for full transparency

• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and customer-specific requirements

• Strong understanding of welding processes, assembly procedures, and quality control standards

• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret customer specifications

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, especially in customer-facing situations

• Experience working independently in fast-paced environments with a high attention to detail

• Ability to advocate for supplier interests while collaborating in a customer facility

• Ability to work outside in the elements a large part of your day.
