About Rivet
Rivet is an American company building integrated task systems — fusing hardened hardware with software, sensors, AI, and networking — for industrial workforces and defense personnel. We create capabilities that multiply the effectiveness of every individual and withstand the world’s toughest environments.
We serve the people who build, operate, maintain, and defend our way of life. From technicians and engineers to first responders and service members, they embody the hard work, ingenuity, and meritocratic values that drive Western prosperity. Yet too often they are forced to rely on outdated tools that fail under modern pressures. Rivet exists to reset that priority.
At Rivet, you’ll join a mission-driven team that fuses disciplines to deliver decisive outcomes where they matter most. Whether shaping our technology, strengthening our partnerships, or building our culture, every role here contributes to equipping the front lines with the modern systems they deserve.

Role Description
Come build the systems that secure the mission. We are looking for cyber engineers who want to own the infrastructure, defend the perimeter, and ensure every byte of data survives in the field. This isn’t IT support — it’s building and protecting the backbone that Rivet and its operators depend on. Reliability, security, and automation are the principles you’ll live by.
Responsibilities
- Keep the mission online. Manage and secure hybrid environments — from cloud workloads to on-prem systems — ensuring uptime and resilience under pressure.
- Harden the edge. Enforce network segmentation, patch endpoints, and maintain compliance against adversarial threats and real-world constraints.
- Respond and defend. Monitor systems, triage alerts, and turn incidents into improved playbooks and automated responses.
- Automate everything. Script, containerize, and codify — eliminate manual toil and build repeatable, reliable processes.
- Raise the bar. Leave behind documented systems, compliant baselines, and streamlined environments ready for inspection or deployment.
Role Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in IT systems administration, cyber operations, or network support.
- Hands-on comfort with Windows, macOS, Linux, and virtualized or containerized workloads.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, endpoint management, and scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- Understanding of access control, patch management, and basic SOC principles.
- Strong troubleshooting instincts, clear communication, and curiosity to explore new tools and threats.
- Experience or interest in compliance standards like NIST 800-171 and CMMC is a plus.
- Able to work in secure or air-gapped environments.
- US citizenship required; clearance eligibility preferred.
- On-site and field presence expected.
