SR Industry Alliance Dev Specialist

Position Highlights:

The Sr Industry Alliance Development Specialist will help lead and train other members of the office to advance industry collaboration through all phases: concept, research plan, budget, and contract. The Sr Specialist will have expert capability to perform the tasks to more junior specialists., while also helping to manage and mentor interns, and assist with generation of new business leads and deployment of corporate alliance strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Gather business intelligence
• Describe the nature and scope of sponsored research projects
• Assemble budgets for industry collaboration projects
• Building and maintaining internal relationships
• Meeting administration
• Planning conferences
• Ensuring scientific alignment with alliance partners
• Managing / Mentoring Interns
• Analyze business trends
• Develop and deploy research alliance strategy

Experience and Credentials:

• Bachelor’s degree – field of study: Life sciences, computer sciences, or related field of study
• Minimum of one (1) year science experience and four (4) years of project/alliance management and/or business development experience.
  • In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, an Associates degree with a minimum of one (1) year science experience and four (4) years of project/alliance management and/or business development experience plus an additional two (2) years of any combination of science, project/alliance management or business development experience may be considered.

• • • Science exp includes but not limited to performing laboratory, translational, clinical, and observational research. Business Development exp includes but not limited to licensing technologies, forging industry collaboration, and crating/growing new ventures. Project/Alliance Management exp includes but not limited to managing research project deliverables, product development deliverables, internal development and engagement.
