About This Position
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Support Technician to join our healthcare team. The Patient Support Technician will be responsible for providing direct care to patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for helping others.
Scope of Tasks & Responsibilities:· Room patients and perform duties such as vital signs, weight, height, etc.
· Creating a positive experience by welcoming and assisting clinic patients
· Efficiently utilize RHC EMR, accurately documenting phone notes and patient interaction.
· Assist clinical Medical Assists with retrieving and documenting voicemails, phone calls, prior authorizations and medication refill information and pre-huddle patient preparation.
· Assist patients with clinical needs such as but not limited to scheduling appointments and completing required forms
· Follow up on patients who have difficulty keeping their appointments or who have other barriers to care
· Collect medical information from patients in person or by telephone
· Turn and prepare exam rooms, sanitize patient care areas, nursing stations, and equipment.
· Assist with medical supply ordering and inventory tasks
· May perform patient intake/registration operations/ helping with patients who do not speak English as their primary language.
· Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings
· Attend required training (OSHA, CPR, etc.)
· Maintain patient confidentiality
· Cross trains in a variety of clinical support roles
· Completes preparation for all specialized visits such (well child visits) following proper protocol
· Treat patients, visitors and coworkers with respect and dignity
· Exemplify the RHC mission through a personal example of excellent service to patients, visitors and coworkers.
· Commit to and ensure work is operating in a manner consistent to Raphael Health Center Mission

Required Education, Certification, Experience and Skill:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
