Essential Functions

  • Responsible for activity specialists working in healthcare and memory support including; helping with hiring process, supervision, annual evaluations, and providing ongoing training in areas such as documentation, group leadership, calendar planning, job expectations and regulations.
  • Assist in development of healthcare activities policies and procedures.
  • Establishes goals for healthcare activity programming and sets objectives for reaching these goals. Reviews objectives with staff on a regular basis.
  • Provide calendar analysis of the program while considering the seven dimensions of wellness, weekend, evening, daily programming and age appropriate needs of residents served.
  • Provide group, chart, 1:1 binder and monthly tally audits on an ongoing basis.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related fields.
  • Three to five years experience in Human Services. (Preference given to previous work with elderly).
  • Ability to work with older adults in groups and 1:1
  • Knowledge of planning and implementation process for programs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
