About This Position
SUMMARY:
Responsible for the overall supervision of the Patient Reception.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Directly supervise employees in the Patient Reception.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. These responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees. Planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Interact with other supervisors to set up new procedures and/or solve issues between departments.
- Serve as organization HIPPA Compliance Officer.
- Review and approve department time sheets.
- Be knowledgeable and proficient in the job duties of the front desk.
- Provide effective leadership, train, coach, and work closely with direct report team leads.
- Oversee scheduling and vacation requests, to include MRI reception.
- Order and review reading material for waiting room.
- Attend required office meetings and participate in committees as required.
- Create department agenda / type minutes
- Advise C.O.O. of any failures in equipment, or repairs needed in the department.
- Expand job related knowledge and skills to improve performance and adjust to change.
- Use interpersonal skills effectively to build and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Other duties as assigned by the C.O.O.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. To be able to write simple correspondence. The ability to effectively present information on a one-on-one and small group situations to patients and other employees of the organization.
The ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
