About This Position

Description:

The Bill of Materials (BOM) Specialist I is responsible for entering items and BOMs within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This position interfaces between internal teams, engineering, and manufacturing to clearly document manufacturing product requirements. This position can be filled as an onsite position or a hybrid position. Fully remote is a possibility after training is completed.

Requirements:
  • Creates and updates item records within the ERP system.
  • Updates existing BOMs from feedback provided from internal teams.
  • Coordinates with the Engineering on documenting parts, resources, and routing required as specified by the Engineering Team.
  • Updates item records as directed by the engineering change board.
  • Performs highly repetitive tasks in ERP software where accuracy and timeliness are critical.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education, Reasoning ability, and or Experience:

  • Proven track record in work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and bills of materials.
  • Competent user of Microsoft products – Outlook, Word, Excel, Web browsers, etc.
  • Experience with ERP software applications is desired. Experience with CSI/Syteline is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in terms of being clear, concise, and professional with the ability to work effectively with a wide array of personnel.
  • Data-entry skills with the ability to use a ten-key.

Communication and Language skills:

Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to maintain a positive work attitude while performing assigned duties. Must be a team player able to converse and interact with supervisors, co-workers, and customers.
