Summary:
The successful candidate is willing to dive into various accounting tasks and operational analysis. You will have a digital background, positive attitude, be comfortable with routine accounting duties as well as extracting and analyzing financial data using Power BI. The candidate will also enjoy stepping in and providing support at all levels, including working on special digital transformation projects.
Reports to: Divisional Controller
What You'll Do:
- General accounting functions including, journal entries and working papers in multiple currencies and reconciliations.
- Using Power BI to review financial results and prepare variance analysis including tracking project activities and prepare analysis of profit margin and costing information.
- Preparing both monthly internal financial reports including actual vs. budget analysis and external quarterly and annual financial statements and schedules, including but not limited to consolidated balance sheet, statement of earnings, statement of cashflow, detailed Accounts Receivable/Payable analysis and Operating Expenses analysis.
- Preparing technical accounting memos to support the Company’s reporting in accordance with IFRS.
- Championing and engaging the finance team on process improvement and analysis using power BI.
- Championing the ERP system as administrator and managing any system changes.
- Coordinating with auditors and providing necessary information for audits.
- Implementing and assessing the controls within the Company.
- Assisting the providing financial leadership for, mentoring other finance team members and be seen as a clear leader in their absence.

What You'll Bring:
- CPA designation
- 3+ years of audit experience in public practice or similar industry experience
- Experience with multi-companies and multi-currencies transactions
- Experience with large ERP systems, preferably Business Central
- Advanced Excel skills and Power BI
- Ability to speak and read Chinese (Mandarin) would be considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal, organization and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Team player and able to initiate corrective action in a positive manner
- A proven leader with excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior management.
- Can perform under pressure and handle multiple concurrent deadlines and tasks; and
- Can function in an environment where priorities are subject to change based on various drivers.
