About This Position

Logistics Specialist - Medellin

Role Overview:

This role supports U.S.-based logistics environments and may be assigned to operational, administrative, or accounting-related functions such as dispatching, shipment tracking, documentation, billing support, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash application, depending on business and client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day logistics and transportation operations in alignment with client requirements, SLAs, and internal procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, carriers, drivers, vendors, and clients to ensure operational continuity and service quality.
  • Monitor shipments, loads, and operational milestones, ensuring visibility and timely follow-up across the logistics lifecycle.
  • Track and document shipment activity, operational updates, financial data, and resolutions in internal systems (TMS, ERP, CRM, or client platforms).
  • Identify operational, documentation, or financial discrepancies and escalate issues according to established guidelines.
  • Support customer-facing and carrier-facing communications related to operational status, billing, or payment inquiries.
  • Assist with documentation, reporting, and administrative tasks related to logistics and accounting support functions.
  • Ensure compliance with operational procedures, documentation standards, confidentiality requirements, and client-specific guidelines.
  • Contribute to process improvement, data accuracy, and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Perform other duties related to logistics and operational support as assigned, in accordance with business and client requirements.

Requirements: Experience, Education & Skills:

  • Previous experience in Customer service, logistics, transportation, operations support, or customer support roles (minimum 6 months preferred).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to work with operational systems.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Availability to work assigned schedules based on operational needs.

Preferred / Nice to Have:

  • Experience supporting logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation operations.
  • Familiarity with TMS platforms or logistics systems.
  • Experience working in BPO or shared services environments.
  • Exposure to customer-facing or carrier-facing operational roles.
