Summary:
The Inventory Control Manager (ICM) is accountable for the management, including development and implementation, of all aspects and activities related to facility inventory control and accuracy. This includes determining the cause for inventory discrepancies while developing and instituting corrective actions. The ICM will be responsible for analysis and direction for the product to a permanent pick location, replenishment levels, and proper storage techniques. This position will manage a team consisting of Cycle Counters, and Inventory Control Lead.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain physical inventory of Celebrity and GE Warehouses.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and integrity
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of all departmental SOPs policies and procedures relating to inventory control, to include ensuring the accuracy of warehouse inventory and analysis of product flow.
- Verify cycle counts and inventory audits are being properly performed to meet internal standards
- Ensure facility and inventory practices are in full compliance with all relevant Government regulations (US Customs, FDA, USDA)
- Review inventory reporting to resolve unused items and recommend appropriate action for excess, damaged, or close-dated stock
- Examine systems and controls and provide recommendations for improvement of inventory efficiency
- Provides leadership and guidance to employees in the Inventory and Admin Depts.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assisting in providing appropriate resolutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain
- Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in warehouse operations and leadership roles, preferably in high volume food distribution environment
- Knowledge of Food Distribution Center Operations, ERP, WMS and Inventory Management, required.
- Knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety and GMP Audits
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including night and weekends, if needed
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Steadfast accountability, strategic vision, and cross-functional leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and drive metrics
- Experienced in driving change management and improving talent
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
- Must be comfortable working in area of varying noise levels
- Exposure to multi-temperature warehouse environment ranging from ambient to frozen
Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 annually plus bonus
