About This Position
The Material Handler position will safely operate a forklift to move raw materials, in process goods and finished products to designated areas. Provide all raw materials and packaging materials to work area.
Essential Functions

• Unload shipments from suppliers, verifying order accuracy.
• Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering and staging production materials to specified departments.
• Locate materials by verifying, pulling and staging the correct materials listed on production orders to the proper department specified.
• Document materials and records units delivered for production orders and location of units through inventory transactions.
• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items.
• Keeps inventory, loading areas, machinery, and workstations clean and organized.
• Update the ERP system as required.

• Basic math skills and computer skills
• Ability to read & write in English
• Comprehension of written instructions
• Attention to details
• An ability to safely operate equipment and necessary tools
Supervisory Responsibility
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to varying temperatures. The environment is an active plant with continuous noises from equipment inside the plant.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and possible climbing all day. The employee must be able to lift and or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
(Subject to change based on business demands)
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
• Ability to read, write and speak English (Required)
• High School diploma or GED
• Be able to continuously lift 50+ pounds
• Tow Motor experience (License preferred)
• Basic math skills
• Must be able to work well in a team
• Comply with all company safety rules and guidelines
• Team player; volunteer to help where needed to get job done, and enhance skills
