About This Position
We are looking for a Staff Engineer to join our Engineering team and play a leading role in building the systems, tools, and data infrastructure that power our next stage of growth. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role for a strong technical leader who enjoys solving complex operational problems, building scalable solutions, and partnering closely with business teams in a fast-paced startup environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design and development of software systems that support core business operations, including APIs, partner integrations, internal tools, database architecture, and data workflows
- Build scalable, reliable solutions that improve how our teams operate across Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Customer Experience, and Operations
- Partner cross-functionally to identify process bottlenecks and translate business needs into practical technical systems and automations
- Drive data infrastructure and analysis initiatives across hearing diagnostics, sales, customer, and operational data to support better decision-making
- Develop dashboards, reporting, and internal metrics to improve visibility into business performance and team effectiveness
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, helping raise engineering quality, velocity, and best practices
- Support strategic initiatives across the company in partnership with leadership as needed
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong proficiency and the ability to quickly learn (Python and/or React preferred)
- Strong experience building and maintaining backend systems, APIs, databases, and internal or operational tooling
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects from scoping through execution, especially for products or systems used by non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with scalable backend architecture, data management best practices, and secure system design
- Experience contributing to security, compliance, or governance-related technical initiatives
- Strong problem-solving instincts, sound technical judgment, and a bias toward practical, business-oriented solutions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong desire to work in a highly team-oriented environment
Salary Range:
$180-200K/year - commensurate with experience/location
Location:
Midtown hybrid (NYC, Manhattan) | Remote Hybrid

Exempt V Non-Exempt Status:
